### How to Renew Your CNA Certification

CNA certifications typically need to be renewed periodically as required by your state. To keep your certification active, you must: 

1.  **Meet** **your** **state's** **eligibility** **requirements**, such as completing paid work as a CNA during the renewal period. 
2.  **Submit** **a** **renewal** **application** through your state’s registry or the testing provider. 
3.  **Provide** **required** **documentation**, such as proof of employment or continuing education (if applicable). 

If your certification expires, you may need to **retake** **the** **competency** **exam** or go through a **renewal** **process**.
